Monterrey persevered to become the Liga MX Apertura champion last night at the Estadio Azteca. It took penalties to do it, and the result reduced manager Turco Mohamed to tears. Since he took over the club from Diego Alonso, the Rayados only lost one match (to Liverpool in the Club World Cup semifinal, on a stoppage time goal).
Speaking of Alonso, he could be introduced as the new manager of Inter Miami today according to Michelle Kaufman of the Miami Herald.
Rumors are flying as silly season ramps up the shenanigans. We're live this morning at 9am on the SDH app, here on the website, and on Spreaker. The show will be available soon thereafter on your favorite podcatchers.
