Atlanta United 2 fell to Crown Legacy FC 1-0 after conceding the winner in stoppage time at Fifth Third Stadium on Friday.

It was a very balanced game for both sides. Each team had multiple opportunities to find the back of the net. The Crown had 15 shots and 5 on goal, and Atlanta had 11 shots and 5 on goal at the end of the match.

Crown Legacy was able to find the winner in the 91st minute when Cam Duke found Aron John in the box to make it 1-0.

“It’s super unfortunate because there wasn't a second in the game where I thought we were going to lose the game. It felt like a slow play, slow build-up, and the guy is in the perfect spot at the perfect time, so it’s super unfortunate,” said Jayden Hibbert after the match. “I thought we had some chances at the end to be finished, but it’s another one to reflect on and move forward.”

During the long break for the 2s, Hibbert will be training with the Jamaican National Team as they prepare for World Cup qualifying matches.

Atlanta United 2 is back in action June 26 when they travel to face off against Orlando City B.
