Atlanta United 2 lost 2-1 last night in Bridgeview, Illinois to Chicago Fire II at SeatGeek Stadium. Goals on either side of halftime did Atlanta in, with Chicago opening the scoring in the 45th minute through Viktor Bezerra on an assist from Alex Monis. Monis got on the board himself early in the second half, deflected an attempted cross from Shawn Lanza into the net in the 57th minute. Jackson Conway created a late goal for Atlanta, heading a Chris Gloster corner off the far post. The deflection hit goalkeeper Jeffrey Gal in the back and trickled into the goal, but that was the final play of the match. The 2's will be back in action on the SDH Network next Wednesday from Kennesaw as they host the top team in the MLS Next Pro, Crown Legacy FC. Kickoff is just after 7:30pm.
