Games:

  • 1970: The Chiefs trounced the St. Louis Stars 6-1 at Tara Stadium. Henry Largie had a hat trick for Atlanta. Dave Metchick, Nick Papadakis, and Ray Bloomfield also scored for the Chiefs. 1,078 fans turned out in Clayton County for the Saturday match.

  • 1979: The Chiefs defeated the visiting Houston Hurricane 2-1 at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium in front of 6,058 fans. Jeff Bourne scored his 17th goal of the season, Neill Roberts added his 13th. Kai Haaskivi scored for Houston.

  • 1981: The visiting Jacksonville Tea Men defeated the Chiefs 2-1 at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium. Keith Furphy's 8th goal of the season wasn't enough for Atlanta. 8,186 fans turned out.

  • 1998: The Ruckus were routed on the road in Jacksonville 5-1 by the Cyclones. Matt Davenport scored the lone Atlanta goal.

  • 1967: Chiefs player/coach Phil Woosnam was a guest on WGTV's "Coach Lawson Show" hosted by former Georgia basketball coach Red Lawson.
