Looking for first win on the road, Atlanta United 2 heads to Columbus

Atlanta United 2 returns to action Thursday, June 15 when it travels to face Columbus Crew 2 at Historic Crew Stadium. Our live coverage on the SDH Network will kickoff at 6:45pm.

In their last match, Atlanta fell 1-0 to Philadelphia Union II on a second half goal from CJ Olney. Remi Okunlola made his first ever Atlanta United 2 start and Jackson Conway made his return to the team from the bench after his loan to Phoenix Rising.

Atlanta is 2-1-2 in their last five matches, but they are still looking for their first three points on the road. They are 0-3-2 on the road so far in 2023, but have won one of the shootouts in those draws to earn an extra bonus point in the standings.

Columbus is one spot ahead of Atlanta in the Central Division standings, four points ahead. They are the defending MLS Next Pro champions, winning the inaugural championship in 2022.

They also feature two players with strong Georgia ties. Coleman Gannon is an Atlanta United academy product, and fourth all-time in minutes played for Atlanta United 2 as an academy player. Marco Micaletto started his pro career with South Georgia Tormenta and played in college at Young Harris.
