Soccer Down Here is a Football Content Awards Finalist Again

For the second time in three years, Soccer Down Here has been named a finalist for Best Media Organisation: Broadcaster / Rightsholder at the Football Content Awards. Public voting is open now through October 3.

We kept building.

Now we’re back.

Soccer Down Here has been named a finalist for Best Media Organisation: Broadcaster / Rightsholder at the 2026 Football Content Awards, marking our second finalist appearance in three years.

This year, SDH is part of a field that includes some of the biggest names in football media, including Amazon Prime Video, BBC Sport, CBS Sports Golazo, DAZN, ESPN FC, FIFA+, ITV Sport, LaLigaTV, talkSPORT, TNT Sports and UEFA.tv.

For an independent soccer network based in Atlanta, that recognition means a great deal to us.

But it also reflects what Soccer Down Here has continued to become.

Since our first Football Content Awards finalist appearance in 2024, we have continued to expand our live programming, match broadcasts, podcasts, written coverage and digital content. We cover the professional game, college soccer, high school soccer, the grassroots game in Georgia and the stories that connect Atlanta to the wider soccer world.

The Football Content Awards describe SDH as an independent Atlanta-based soccer broadcast network built around live radio, play-by-play, daily discussion and on-demand coverage across multiple levels of the game.

That is a pretty good description of what we have spent years trying to build.

And none of it happens without a community around it.

The broadcasters, writers, photographers and contributors who bring their work to SDH. The clubs, schools, teams and organizations that trust us with their stories. The partners who have helped us grow. The guests who give us their time and insight.

And, most importantly, the people who watch, listen, read, share, subscribe and keep coming back.

This recognition belongs to all of us. When we say SDH Network, we don’t just mean the shows, broadcasts and content we produce. We mean the network of like-minded people who love the game, love the stories behind the matches, and love the people who make the sport what it is.

Now we need your help

Public voting accounts for 50 percent of the final result in the Football Content Awards, with the remaining 50 percent determined by the judging panel.

Voting is open through October 3.
